The presidential commissioner for the United Nations (UN), Miguel Pizarro, stated that when Maduro’s dictatorship is unable to respond to the accusations of the UN Fact-Finding Mission report, it is because all of its contents are real.

“The declarations of Tareck William Saab and Jorge Arreaza are a disgrace. When they are accused of human rights violations and their argument is that it is a report that is the product of a war that only exists in their heads, it is because they have no way to prove otherwise,” Pizarro said in a message released on Twitter.
The representative of the Legitimate Government launched a forceful response to the spokespersons of the Venezuelan regime. “To Arreaza, who on every occasion highlights the alleged “achievements” of the regime with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, we remind you of the recommendations of Michelle Bachelet’s report, none have been fulfilled. And this is the same Human Rights Council that gave the mandate to the International Fact-Finding Mission on Venezuela. One cannot be a double standard”.
“We remind Saab, who considers it a “terrible failure” that the mission has not visited the country, of the regime’s communiqué dated December 2nd, 2019 rejecting the conformation of the Mission and thus denying its access to the country”, he stated.
For this reason, Pizarro qualified that “both declarations make mockery of the victims”.
