The World Food Program and the EU aligned strategies to help vulnerable Venezuelans

On September 16th the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Venezuela held a meeting with authorities from the UN World Food Program, to underscore the international community’s commitment to the humanitarian crisis that the country is experiencing.

Mr. Rafael Dochao, head of the EU Delegation in Venezuela, congratulated the executive director of the World Food Program, Mr. David Beasley, for the successful start of operations in Falcón state.





Among the issues addressed, both delegations agreed coordinated strategies to help the most vulnerable Venezuelans through the mission led by the UN.

The United Nations World Food Program expects to reach 185,000 people by the end of this year, 850,000 by the end of the 2021-2022 school year, and 1.5 million by the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
